Ever notice that when certain movies show up in the Walmart bin and then WAMMY - a new version comes out. Just an observation.

Actually, it involved someone with a bottle of whiskey pulling out teeth with a pair of pliers. It was towards the end credits when all plot twists were revealed. The all-time best ending credits ever.

Still there better be some worthwhile yummy footage to this film. The theatrical version to myself felt like a wannabe exploitation film that teases you,but never dares 'go there' for fear of going into NC-17 territory.

Besides more Kevin Bacon is not a bad thing,he is actually really hot & attractive. So that is a plus. Would love some more Neve & Denise action as well.

So we will see what turns up in this version. Big difference would be comparing the running time. If it's only one minute longer,or a few seconds. Then you know not to expect much.
Considering that Wild Things was made by Columbia Tristar and not a "smaller company," are you trying to argue against Sessa17's point; because you're actually supporting his statement.

from the IMDB, possible clue:

"Director John McNaughton says he deleted a scene that would have shown 'Dillon, Matt' and Kevin Bacon showering together, as it was gratuitous."

I bet this entry in the IMDb trivia will cost this DVD some pre-orders...

I hope there's more to the unrated cut than Matt and Kevin showering together.

Maybe you'll see some fellatio in the Dillon-Bacon shower scene!

whynotsmile, it's generally in bad form to copy something directly from someone's web site and then try to pass it off as your own writing. It's plagiarism.

If you must re-print something (rather than simply provide a link) you should at least attribute it to the proper source, which is:

Actually I am both agreeing & disagreeing. Since some of the same people who are werey of 'unrated versions' from the majors. They also seem to look at the true unrated-uncensored versions by other companies in the same light.

Saying "Caligula, unrated version? Haha must be a marketing gimmick like all the others!" when boy are they ignorant in this case

Also Columbia did release the uncensored version of SPUN which is pretty graphic, while the censored R version bleeps out much of the language & blurs/obscures/boxes out 'objectionable' imagery. So their is a huge difference between the two versions despite running the same length.

So you may not know for sure what Wild Things unrated contains until you see it. So you should hold off judging it as 'a gimmick' until further notice.

Besides if they do have the shower scene with Matt & Kevin,+ more Bacons bacon, among other things. It will be a worthy unrated version in my opinion

I can't wait for this rerelease. It should be great!
I can concur what you're saying. I know one of her co-stars from the movie, and she told me that Neve had a no nudity clause in the contract, as she does in all her films.

Everyone is saying that this is going to suck but, this dvd might have more special features than the other. And who REALLY knows if it has more male nudity?

Okay, bottom line:

Is the new version going to contain more hot girl-girl action or not?

YES! I would love to see that. Not that I'm homosexual or anything, but it would be interesting to watch.

I don't think its a body double. if you go to celebritymoviearchive.com (not a porn site but not work safe) and go to the 3 way scene, you can pretty much tell that it is her. Plus there are a few see through the top scenes as well.

This actually sounds like a joke. Gratuitous? Have you people seen this movie? If you cut out all of the gratuitous sex scenes, it'd be forty minutes long.

Don't get me wrong, I love the movie...
