Will a 'Wipe N Clear' lens cleaning tissue harm a DVD?

Will a 'Wipe N Clear' lens cleaning tissue harm a DVD?

I have these Lents Wipe and Clear's that have a little solution and is used for prescrip glasses, pc screens, etc.. I want to use to clean some scuffs on a DVD..will it harm it in anyway whatsoever? Thanks for any help.

I would say don't use anything other than maybe water. Just breath on it a little to fog it up and use a tissue. Make sure you wipe from the hole out and not in a circle... that just sounds wrong doesn't it?

why not in a circle? and you mean and straight line from center out? why water, isn't water like the least effective cleaner? thanks for help.

Yes, you should wipe in a straight line from the center hole outward to the edge. Also, I used a little soapy-water once when it was caked-up, and it worked fine. ( I loaned a disc to a friend and learned my lesson).

If you wipe in a circle, it scratches the disc more than if you wipe from the hole out... it still sounds wrong.
