The last thing I heard was Paramount was shooting for a Fall 2004 release. Maybe Halloween time?

Latest News From Creature-Corner:
GOOD FRIDAY - 01.12.04
Johnny Butane
Very little in the way of cool scoopage emerged from this weekend's Weekend of Horrors, but good news can be reported on Paramount's upcoming box set of Friday the 13th.
Camera crews were on hand for almost all the Friday panels that went on Saturday afternoon, getting footage for some of the extras on the DVD. Seems like Paramount is actually taking this seriously... They were on the same floor as us, actually, but none of them really knew any details. Damn.
During the meeting of Jasons, though, Kane Hodder did mention he's working on a commentary track for at least Part 7 (his first appearance as the killer), and that there's a good chance of that entry appearing fully uncut. The crowd was quite thrilled to hear that, let me tell you.
He also said that he hopes Paramount will consider a commentary by the individual Jasons for each film they were in, which I have to admit would be pretty interesting (except maybe the first one...). We'll be digging into our resources to see if we can get some idea of what to expect as far as the rest of the extras and a hopefully even a release date.

well since I collect every dvd that comes in Special packaging regardless of the movie( I am a package whore), and Fridya the 13th series is my favorite series ever, the hocky masked shap case, is the greatest idea I ever heard.
Someone has to give the heads up to Universal so that they make a case like that.
