Which is the best version of Day of the Dead?

I can get one of two versions..

The original dvd:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/6305223343/ref=ase_pricegrabbercom/002-0410759-1506424?v=glance&s=dvd

Or the newer one..

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.c...f=pricegrabber

Which one should I go for?

Despite the very brief audio flub on the new release which people made a huge deal about. It is a far superior version than past releases on any home video format.

Julie said it best. Get the one with Bub on the cover. You won't be sorry.

I must agree that the new Divimax version is the best. The audio flub is not even noticable except by people with too much time on their hands.

blah.... Fans... as in "fanatics" of this film will notice...and care. Just like the fans of "Back to the Future" cared about the mis-framing. There are people who think that OAR advocates "have too much time on their hands"... and so it goes.

Given the 2 options, the new Divimax version is better. And because of the apathy expressed over the audio flub, it is unlikely that AB will correct it. Pity, because it is the only thing that prevents it from being... perfect. (IMO anyways)

If you didn't notice them, then don't worry.

There are a few MINOR bits of alternate looped dialogue and clipped sound effects on this version. Audio comes in the form of three or four instances, in which dubs from the aforementioned Japanese laserdisc can be heard.
2-disc set. The "Behind-the-Scenes footage" from the old release didn't find itīs way onto this disc.
