How long do most DVD-R's last?
Do DVD-R discs tend to last as long as other DVDs? I was just wondering, because I started using my DVD recorder, and I bought some Fuji DVD-R discs. The material I am recording is something I want to have for a long time.

I've read (I don't remember where) that the really cheap media will break down after 5 - 10 years (again I do not remember the technilogical specifics on this), and that good brand name media (Sony, Memorex) supposedly employ very high quality control standards such the media should last over 100 years.
