My first dvd was the LOTR: FOTR - Theatrical version. It was released in early August but I don't remember the exact date. I'm thinking it was the 8th. But was the eigth even a Tuesday? Ah well who knows.

My first DVD was "Apocalypse Now", purchased on May 6, 2000 (actually received in the mail on that date). Purchased my first DVD player a week before that and ordered the DVD from buy.com - back when HUGE discounts on DVDs were available everywhere!
So, if I can remember that date - May 6 - then I can celebrate my 4th anniversary on May 6, 2004! Doubtful that I will remember it though, or even really want to!
Out of curiosity, what do people do on their anniversary date - take your DVD collection out for a nice dinner? Take the cases off the shelves and give them a dusting or thorough cleaning? Update your DVD Profiler with the ones which ae missing? Check for delamination on every DVD? Or .....?

no need to update. it's always done right when I walk in the door. otherwise...I'd forget.
it's easy to check for delamination. I rotate and cycle through my dvds. at least 2 or 3 times a week, I try to pick out titles I purchased early on. it's an ongoing project. I try not to look at it as "checking for delamination"....but as watching some good films that I have not seen in a long time!!
