The Dead Zone: Season 2 coming 3/16!

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
Earlier today we received word from Lions Gate that The Dead Zone: Season 2 will be released in March, 2004. This is all the information we have now; when we get artwork it will be posted on the site.

Based on the characters and story from the best-selling book by Stephen King, The Dead Zone is unique psychological thriller that combines a rich mix of action, the paranormal and a continuing quest for justice. Johnny Smith's life was interrupted by a near fatal car crash that left him in a deep coma for six years. When he regained consciousness he discovered that he now possesses amazing psychic powers; powers that allow him to see into the life of anyone he touches. Those powers affect his life and the lives of those around him including the love of his life, her current husband, the local townsfolk and a rising politician who may be on a collision course with a dark destiny. Starring Anthony Michael Hall, Nicole DeBoer, Chris Bruno, John L. Adams, Sean Patrick Flanery and David Ogden Stiers, This 5-disc DVD set is loaded with added-value special features including:
Production Commentary for all 19 episodes
The Making of an Episode
Cast & Crew Interviews
Never-before-seen interviews with directors and guest stars
Deleted Scenes
Storyboards
*features subject to change

Street Date: 3/16/04 DVD SRP: $49.99
Season 1 was a blind buy for me, and I loved it. Can't wait to pick up Season 2!

IMHO, Season 1 was much better than Season 2. And I'm not even sure how many seasons there were. It feels like 3, but if that's the case, where did 2 end and 1 begin? Anyway, I'll probably still pick these sets up eventually.

Originally, USA produced 13 episodes for Season Two. Only 12 made it to air as one wasn't to be shown due to the war in Iraq just beginning (the episode was about Johnny trying to find terrorists). A few months later, USA asked the crew to come back and produce 6 more episodes for what the creators like to call "Season 2.5" (a continuation on season two). During the run of the 6 new episodes, the 13th episode that never made it to air the first time around was shown. The 6 (or 7, depending on how you look at it) are more "stand-alone" episodes instead of episodes that continue on the Stillson arc.

Well this news is great. I really like this show and want them all on dvd to watch again and again. Also, the season 1 set impressed the hell out of me so, if they live up to that standard, it should be a pretty sweet set.
