Freaky Friday Canadian Full Frame only???

Just wanted to see if anyone in Canada could help me out,

the new Freaky Friday disc that just came out seems to be available in only 1 edition. Every review I've read says that the disc contains both widescreen and full frame version, however the packaging only states "Fullscreen 1.33:1" and at the bottom says "Formatted from the original version".

The guy at Future Shop says that there is no widescreen version on the disc (but he wouldn't open one up to demo and let me check) so did disney somehow manage to put out a full screen only disc in Canada or is this just a HUGE error on the Canadian packaging??????

I love the movie and wanted to buy a few copies (for myself and for christmas gifts) but won't buy any if it's FF only. Thanks,

MATT

Apparently, the Canadian disc really is Fullscreen only from what people on other forums have posted.

thanks LB... this is SHOCKING to me.... I'll call their customer service and let them know that they just missed out on selling 4 copies of Freaky Friday.

He mentioned in the first post that he wanted to buy a few copies as Christmas gifts, in addition to buying one for himself. That sucks about the Canadian release being fullscreen only. I'm glad they didn't do that with the U.S. release as well.

(sung to Lee Greenwod's "God Bless The USA")

I'm proud to be an american, where we get Freaky Friday in widescreen, I won't forget canada has some pretty good SE's, I'd proudly go to canada to buy Ginger Snaps on DVD, ther ain't no doubt I love widescreen, God Bless The USA

Another reason to hate the French, there launguage replaces widescreen movies.
