Heh. I quite enjoy Gibson's Hamlet, I'll be picking this one up.

Also, Branaugh's version is great. Would love to have it. Could eliminate one more of my VHS tapes.

...but my Hamlet Holy Grail is Grigori Kozintsev's 1964 version. Now that's a disc I'll never see in a major release...

One can hope though.

Criterion? Are you out there? Some Kozintsev please?

jdpatri,

I agreed 100% with you.

Check this link and enjoy http://www.ruscico.com/detail_eng.php?link=26

Can't wait.

Best Hamlet (IMMO)

1- Innokenty Smoktunovsky (Waiting)
2- Kenneth Branagh (Waiting)
3- Lawrence Olivier (Out, Criterion))
4- Mel Gibson (Waiting)

I will own all of them.

Bad taste peeps...
Actually, knowing a bit about Mel's beliefs and the controversy surrounding his filming of The Passion of the Christ, I have to say that I actually found Peep's comment quite funny.

Yeah, most people do spell it wrong, but you've done worse than most.

It's Branagh.
