Bad Boys 2, there's gonna be another release isn't there?

I happily picked up Bad Boys 2 yesterday. As I got home I examined the back cover to see what features it had and what do you know. Almost none. Some deleted scenes and featurettes. No commentary, no DTS, it might as well state on the package "we will be releasing this again".

I am sure they will eventually (SuperBit), but another SE would be nice, I need my Michael Bay Commentary, its essentail... Yes, I love Michael Bay movies cause there fun and exciting. I might be the only person who loved Pearl Harbor (although to much attempt at Romance)

They had to get it out for XMAS. So I'm sure they'll be another one. I'd like a commentary just to hear Bay try to explain this crap

There might be a superbit along the way but according this thread there will be no bigger special edition.

Crap? While BB2 isn't an award winner, it's a really entertaining flick. Hardly crap.

Its a Bay movie, what you expecting ? Shakespeare ?

I may rent this one and wait for a SE to come out. I like Bay commentaties and loved to know what he thought of this since it it didnt seem to do as well as his other films.

This release does seem very rushed so im holding off for a while.

I don't know. I'd expect a Superbit but this current edition seems to have a good amount of content as is. Not to mention there isn't a commentary simply because Bay didn't want to do one.

I'd pay for a version w/ about 30 mins of the so called humor cut out "They're doing it like we do" WTF was that about??? A lot of good action but due to crap like that I'm glad I rented it

I don't know, I can see a Superbit release somewhere down the pike, but there are a lot of quality extras on this disc, including over 2.5 hours of documentary/behind-the-scenes footage (plus trailers, script excerpts, storyboards, comparisons, etc.)

The movie is what it is, but as a DVD it's fairly stuffed. A commentary would have "sealed the deal", but as it stands it aint bad at all. Certainly better than, say, fruit cup.

Since this is a 2 disc set, they could have added a DTS track since they didn't have a commentary.

Perhaps, but that DD track is pretty spectacular in and of itself.

But then what would have been the selling point of the inevitable Superbit Deluxe?

Judging from Columbia's track record....probably either a new SE or Superbit in about a year.

Sure. I woundn't mind a commentary with Bruckheimer as well(but then I would have to sit through it again). I remember reading it took like 8 years to come up with the perfect script. I wanna know why they burned that one and filmed something different.

On a side note, I'm debating getting Underworld because of the eventual release of the SB version.

I thought there was plenty of stuff...deleted scenes...two nice featurettes...like 15 more diaries...scene breakdowns...trailers...and one hell of a great presentation...sounds nice to me...

I finally broke down and got the film...I have no idea why though...
