"DVD Profiler is unable to upload your collection to the My Profiler system because the upload file system for free.(The "is" is left off on the message I get, and makes me wonder if they mean "because it's free" I'm just hoping it doesn't)
In order to upload your collection, you will need to reduce the size of the upload file by 35.3%
Make sure yours is up to date by refreshing your profile (I do this all time)
Reduce the number of locked profiles (I don't even know how to lock the profiles yet, not that I have tried to learn either)
Then some bla bla about the premium registration code"
Does this mean I have to purchase the premium registration, to upload my collection? If so, that sucks! Oh well, I still love having the program. Once again sorry to go off topic, but I figured I would catch someone while they were in here discussing DVD Profiler, and other similar programs

"Thanks for the info. I don't have anywhere near 700 DVDs, so it must be somthing on my end. I'm going to go figure it out now."
It is not about numbers. Do you lock your DVD's? This takes up more space and reduces the size of your allowable upload. I recommend buying the premium key. It is worth it just to support a great database.

Wizdar and others:
You might be surprised just what you might learn about DVDProfiler IF you participated in the IVS forums instead of trying to find answers here. However, for the record a free user is limited to a 500K Upload of your library. This is difficult to quantify in terms of number of films, due to the varying size of each film's file plus if you lock your titles to prevent unauthorized updating of a film your file will be much larger.

I wasn't sure what thread to put this in and I didn't feel it warranted a new one, so does anyone know of an organizer that allows you to list your collection by director? I use guzzlefish and dvd profiler but neither of those have the option.

Can someone who uses DVDAficionado explain how you get titles in a certain order in a folder? Like their lists of examples they have the Criterion Collection in spine number order. I'd like to put my Hannibal Lector, Kevin Smith and Godzilla DVDs in proper release order.

Guzzlefish: Would be the best if they had more titles, especially R2, and updated more.
DVDAf: The easiest to read by far. If someone has more than one organizer posted, I always read this one.
DVDPr: The hands down best for the dvd owners themselves due to all the information provided. It also had the best database by far. Still, it can be a pain in the arse, and it isn't very visually appealing for folks wanting to browse your collection.

Guzzlefish could NEVER be the best because it is online only. You cannot access your collection database offline and if Guzzlefish goes under, so does your collection database.
