The Stupidity of the DVD Market

Now Im sure Ill get flamed for this, but come on this has got to be the stupidest thing yet when it comes to DVDs. The Simple Like is set for release on January 27, 2004, according to Amazon. According to DavisDVD there is already cover art for it.

This is almost about as low as the number of people wanting to know when last night's episode (of ANY hit show) is going to be on DVD.

Hmm, I'm at a loss, but I'm sure B.S. Preston, ESQ will have something interesting to say about this.

I think the interest in A Simple Life won't have a long "shelf life" so they want to hit fast while people still remember who Paris Hilton is.

I completely agree.

It wouldn't make sense to wait until, say, June or July to release this. Word of mouth will be non-existent by then. It's pretty smart to strike while the iron is hot.

I caught it last night (and plan on watching tonight as well). I liked it much more than I thought I would. I didn't want to give in to all the Paris Hilton hype, but she and Nicole were friggin' hilarious in this "Green Acres"-inspired reality show.

Favorite line: "Feet are bad enough. Then you put the word 'pigs' in front of it." (regarding her commenting on having to purchase a jar of Pigs Feet in a rural supermarket).

They should include the full Solomon video as a bonus feature.
