For those wondering, Disney does have the full episode of "From Pirates of the Caribbean to the World of Tomorrow". They frequetly used to air it on the Disney Channel late nights. However, as the title suggests, half the special has nothing to do whatsoever with PoTC, it is about the building of the new Tommorwland at Disneyland in 1967. It makes perfect sense to only include the relevant portion of the programme which focused on the PoTC attraction.

You should make sure you have your facts straight. We don't want to post anything here that could mislead casual readers.

The murder/kill analogy is perfect. Just say you are pissed that you didn't get what you wanted from Disney DVD, is that so hard?

Am I the first one to ask what everyone is arguing over that got "censored" from "From Pirates of the Caribbean to the World of Tomorrow" or is the original post supposed to be tongue-in-cheek?

The excerpt that is shown is also lightly/heavily edited. Seconds are cut out of a lot of the shots and the audio overlaps, but a casual observer probably wouldn't notice if they haven't seen it before, but I on the otherhand have I've seen this show a couple dozen times.
Also they didn't "censor" the politically uncorrect part of the ride they replaced a couple years ago.

How is this censorship?
The full episode might be on one of the Disney Treasures sets, anyways.
Excerpts from The Reluctant Dragon, Tricks of Our Trade, A Trip Through Disney Studios, and a lot of the other Disneyland episodes were in excerpt form on DVD's, only to be released complete in the Treasures sets.
Well, I guess I should return my censored Dumbo DVD... since it only has an excerpt of The Reluctant Dragon on the disc. :P

Censorship involves coercion. Only the government has the legal sanction to coerce. Thus only the government can censor. Nothing a private individual or entity does can be considered censorship. Studios own the rights to films. If they cut them that is called editing. It is voluntary on the part of the owners.
As to this topic, it is completely inane. It makes perfect sense to me that they left out the part of that Disneyland episode which was irrelevant to Pirates Of The Caribbean. Why is Tomorrowland of such interest in this case?

The people on this forum are getting a little too sarcastice. Think of what the new users are gonna be thinking when they check out one of these threads. They might take you seriously, actually that's pretty funny. Go on.
