Free prop gold coin with Pirates/Carribean DVD @ Wal-mart?
My local Super Walmart had a poster near the electronics department that said they would give away a free movie prop gold coin with each DVD sold between 12:00am and 6:00am 12/2 while supplies last.
I stopped by there on the way to a rare midnighter @ work but one of the night managers told me they didn't get them in. It was a bummer because my son wanted one
Has anyone else seen this offer or actually gotten one of these coins?

The walmart I went to didn't have them. I was told to take my receipt to another store that got them in. The coin is made out of a very light weight metal of some sort and is about the same thinkness as a penny. I included a quarter in the image for a size comparison.

Went to Wal-Mart at 12am and didn't even know they were supposed to be giving these out. So, I definitely didn't get one. (For the Hawaii guys, I went to the Kunia Wal-Mart.)

Alright. Went to three wal marts. Last one guy knew what I was talking about but said they didn't have any, nor knew of any that would. I bought it there.
then I remembered tower was doing something like this. went there and they had a key chain.. No coin in coin sack
So... I beg to ask.. Anyone who might have or be able to get an extra one.. Hell, I'll even pay you for the full dvd if it will come with one. I just neeeeeeed one.
Any help for a dvdtalk hero?

I hate ebay and the inflated "collectors" market.
Well anyone still get one? either by picking up another pirates (Hey, I don't mind having three ) or any other means? willing to make it worth wild.

I stopped by my nearest Wal-Mart on my way home this evening because traffic was horrible. Went by the DVD dept. to see there were about four copies of POTC left. No huge display for it or anything, which seemed odd. They were a bit shelf-worn, so I decided to pass it up and just pick it up elsewhere sometime this week. On the way out, I saw a poster advertising the coin stating that they were available in the electronics department. I turned around, grabbed the remaining two copies of POTC, and after asking three times, and even pointing out the bag of coins sitting by her register, the cashier gave me the two I was due. They are pretty cool, and they do vary a bit. One was a very light gold, and one was more bronze-like. And no, I'm not hording, one was for a buddy of mine and one was for me. So for those of you looking for these, go to the electronics section to see if they have them there. They won't have them at other registers in the store. Another thing I noticed was that the copies at Wal-Mart have tickets for "Haunted Mansion" in them, whereas nowhere else seems to have this deal. At least the price to see "Mansion" is right now.
