"Divimax is a High Definition (HD) film transfer process that provides state-of-the-art picture quality--and can be viewed on any home entertainment system."

A fancy name for a fancy transfer.

it stands for "Digital Video To the Max." It's just a brand name applied to their attempt at doing a nice transfer.

Seeing the Time bandits thread and getting Day of the Dead a few weeks back, I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for the answers.

I'm glad this was cleared up. I thought it was the name of yet another freakin' disposable DVD!

DIVIMAX = sales pitch.

Not sure if it's audio AND video, but if the former, let AB know the 'mono' dts track on Day of the Dead really blows my mind.

It would be nice if Divimax could get the color timing correct on all their DVDs.
