Subtitle issues with Pirates of the Caribbean
I couldn't find this posted before, if it was please lock or delete.
I went to watch PotC last night on my Cyberhome 500 and Closed Captioned subtitles defaulted on and there was no way to turn it off, using either the remote or the menu. When I tried it on my Philips it worked fine. Looks like it is a player specific problem so be aware.

I've had the same subtitle problem with several movies on my CH500, along with trouble playing any Columbia discs with commentary tracks (the movies have to be started from the chapter selection screen, otherwise the player will get stuck in a loop).
Glad I kept my previous player as a backup.

Cosmic Bus, just go to CyberHome's website and download the new firmware image for your player.
http://www.cyberhome.com/downloads.asp?Product=500
the latest firmware fixes the looping commentary warning issue, among many reported problems.

This is the only disc I have had a problem with on the Cyberhome 500, though I don't use it as my primary player, it is the region free in my bedroom.
Never had that looping commentary issue either.
