Memorable DVD Finds

Just picked up the 1932 Scarface staring Paul Muni(disc and case both in pristine condition) from the boxset at a used dvd place for $8.99. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on the shelf. I was almost going to pick up the Scarface boxset at one point just to check it out.

So I was wondering, what are some of your memorable finds/buys?

Finding "A Brief Encounter" Criterion used at Blockbuster in perfect condition, with the insert, for $8. That was nice.

Finding Little Shop of Horrors w/alternate ending right after the recall. The guy rang it up and said it was supposed to be recalled but then said oh who cares and sold it to me.

As for bargains, way too many to list as there is a local used cd/dvd store that has fantastic deals and gets new releases in all the time (I.E. The Looney Tunes Golden collection for $29.99).

Didn't get it, but saw the remastered widescreen version of The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston, in DD 5.1, at a pawn shop for $5.
It was new and still in the wrapper............

X-Files Season 2 - $16
X-Files Season 3 - $16

Those were from the big Suncoast price mistake back in July. Hard to beat those.

Finding Alien at Blockbuster was a major find for me. I was worried I would have to buy the boxed set. Aliens is ok but the other 2 are definately not worth buying in my opinion. Another great find for me was finding 2 Girls and a Guy in the bargain bin at The Future Shop ($9).

Well I have found numerous great deals at the used store I mentioned, but tonight I found the Alien Quadrilogy for $35.99! That definitely ranks as one of my all time great finds.

That's ok. DDD has it for only $1 more. Of course you didn't have to wait for it like I did.
