Question About DVD Profiler?
I have got DVD Profiler back on my computer and I have had this program off and on but now I'm am keeping it as my main dvd organizer. I just noticed the contributing thing we can do. All this time I thought it was a program build by some smart dudes who update the program on a daily bases but I found out it is just people inputting the information themselves and a small number of people check the info and check if its right. I have noticed a few error so I fixed them but one thing I noticed they didn't have on the database yet is Roswell - Season 1, so I inputed cover art, specs and all the cast members (not just the main cast, but reocurrers too) and I have it all set and i clicked the contribute button. How long does it take before I will see it in the database?

I added all of the Yankees World Series DVDs (1961, 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000) and Body Jumper (Thai PAL) including hi-res cover scans and they took about a month to show up. I finally noticed they were up last night and I was happy. Took a while to make all those WS profiles. I even have a cast list with all of the players.

Some info I just posted in another thread:

In my experience (I've contributed several hundred entries, updates, and corrections), it can take a week or more for a submission to appear. This new system should reduce the number of error-filled submissions, making less work for the staff, so I hope things will speed up.
As of today, there are 143,146 DVDs listed at DVD Profiler (only 27,766 are designated as Region 1), so this is a mammoth database, the upkeep of which requires a lot of time and effort. (By contrast, DVD Aficiando has only 28,000 listings total.)
