Sergio Leone's Duck, You Sucka?

Aka A Fist Full of Dynamite.

It's now playing in NYC in a "restored" cut. Seems like a DVD would be the natural follow up.

Anyone know about the release?

Damn, wish I was in NY. This is probably the most underrated Western I think I've ever seen. I bet a DVD is on the horizon, though I haven't heard any news.

It's a good movie?

I also thought it would be a spoof of his own westerns - which is unnecceary considering how funny they are.

The other title for the film is A Fist Full of Dynamite.

Just to help this thread in the future should anyone do a search for this film, here are the proper titles of it: Duck, You Sucker and A Fistful of Dynamite.

I'll be seeing it at Film Forum next week, probably Monday.

Supposedly with ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST finally out, this is coming next. Not clear, at this point, however, is whether or not they'll do the truncated FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE cut, the full-length DUCK YOU SUCKER or the "director's cut" of SUCKER with additional footage. I'd love to see a 3-disc set with all the different versions, but that's probably too much to hope for.

The Man With No Name Trilogy will be following this, after this is out of the theater.

An SE DVD of this one would be wonderful. I saw this at the theater in '72 when it was called Duck, You Sucker!

I own the widescreen laserdisc of the 154 minute director's cut which will suffice until a DVD comes out.

Also have the widescreen LD of My Name Is Nobody which I also saw when it came out and enjoy as much as the other Leone westerns. Sergio is only credited for story idea and producing however.

Too bad he wasn't more prolific.....

MY NAME IS NOBODY is another great one well-deserving of the spit-and-polish treatment ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST received.
