Brazil Criterion

I just got two of these is a shipment from DVD Empire (not both for me) and the translucent plastic cases are different colors. One is blue and one is purple. Does anyone know the reason for this. Did they change the color from blue to purple on newer pressings or something?

I have never seen one in any color but blue. Possible prolonged sun exposure maybe?

Now that I look closer at the purple one, the text does seem a little faded.

Mine is all blue too. Maybe they had it in sunshine for a time. Or maybe they used it as a pillow for some newborn that was under one of those darn bilirubin lamps.

If that is really the case than you better fire off an unhappy email.

I see a return in my future. The DVD Empire site is currently down for maintenance.

Sell it on eBay, as the most rare Criterion ever.
You could make a fortune!

Could one of them have been sitting in the sun in the warehouse? It reminds me of another thread...
