X-Men Collection, The: X-Men/ X2

Has anybody got this release already ? What is the packaging like? I mean is it a fold-out digipack packaging with four DVDs in it or a cardboard box with 2 amareys? Gotta know it urgently, men!

thx

I too heard it was a 4 disc digipak. Fox is starting a bad trend here putting movies and their sequels in these cases (i.e. the Alien Quadrilogy and the X-Men flicks).

I think digipacks are great. Looks much better when you open up the case, like the TTT EE.

Does someone have a picture of the X-1.5/X2 2 disc box?

Yeah, I love digipacks. I'd almost consider getting rid of my current X-Men 1.5 set to buy this new set, since X2 normally comes in an Amaray and I want the two to match...

Has anyone heard if there is another disk that they are going to release? I would hate to buy this then find out they are coming out with X-Men 2.5. Like the first one I have yet to upgrade.

Of course there is the possiblity. There always is the possiblity, but that is the dangerous game we play.

David Blair gives the movie DVDTalk's highest rating here: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=7447

Aaron Beierle gives the movie a highly recommended here:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=8284

Both of these reviewers are excellent and know their stuff. I think that if you read those, you may find that the audio/video/extras are about as good as you want them. If you feel there is room for improvement, wait three months for the press release telling all of us that we were screwed. Then you can buy the new edition.

I do not own either of the X-Men movies, although I'd like to. This box set sounds pretty tasty, although I too am a bit apprehensive due to the fact that X-Men 2.5 and 3 will probably be arriving soon.

I doubt we'll be seeing an X-Men 2.5 anytime soon too.

Ha, ha, nice. Personally though, I think turning DVD special editions into digits is beyond stupid.

No, X2 comes in an Amaray. I'm the same way about movie series matching, which is why I'd like to have this 4-disc set instead.

I just got the set from Amazon today. I must admit..a very nice choice of color on the box. The packaging is very similiar to the Lord Of The Rings 4 DVDs set (extended version). The box cover has a silvery foil look inside...nice
