UPC problem for LOTR:TTT EE?
I bought my copy at Walmart last night and they couldn't sell me one cuz the UPC wasn't coverd up yet with the new tag but they had one with the new UPC...I got home and entered the new UPC into DVD Profiler and nothing came up but when I used the orignal, that was the one.
Anyone know anything about that?
Also...how much did you pay for TTT EE? I got it for 23.99

Same here. Got mine for 24.99. Probably could have found it cheaper somewhere else, but figured the gas money was gonna end up trumping whatever couple bucks I may have been able to save.

Wonder why they are covering up the UPCs with a number thats not even registered in the database...weird.
Bought LOTR:FOTR EE from deepdiscountdvd.com for 25.90 shipped...so I made out on both. Walmart wanted 28.99 for the FOTR EE

Early Tuesday morning I called my favorite Wally World and told them that on the internet people were buying them from Blockbuster for $21.99. Then I went to the store with my extra copy of TT two disk set that I bought previously for $14.87. They gave me $19.75 plus tax or $21 + for the old one and then sold me the EE for $21.99 plus tax for a grand total of $2.84.

, but there is a flaw in your "$2.84" logic. You didn't "make" $21 for returning your theatrical DVD. You had already paid $14.87 plus tax for it. That means that you really only made $4.88 plus tax on the return. So, your total cost for the EE was not $2.84. It was $2.84 + $14.87 + the tax on $14.87. Still a great deal, but not the deal you originally believed it to be.

I have no idea why any store feels the need to cover the original UPC with their own sticker, but in those cases, I simply peel away the new one and enter the original from the case.
