Just picked up POTC...

If anyone has any questions, feel free, I'll answer as best as I can, as I haven't yet watched any of the extra features. There is a lot of bonus material, however.

I think the first, most relevant, question is what is POTC?

That'd be a good call Rob, if true.

BTW - you probably didn't notice, but your sig has "the house that dripped blood" directly after Friends. Any subliminal message there?

Also got Pirates of the Caribbean today, along with X2 $20 each & a couple of weeks early on them. Got to love NYC.

You might have them two weeks early, but you paid $10 more to get them. I'd rather have the $10, personally. I have enough DVDs to tide me over

I'd like to know as well. Someone on DVDFile posted a pic of the R1 menu showing DTS, but I'd like to confirm again.

Yeah, another bragging thread! Don't you get so tired of them that it makes you want to go to another site to see what's going on?!?! I have "POTC" ordered, but I ordered it with some DVDs which don't release until December 23 - that's how UN-concerned I am about having it on release date or before. What's the big deal??!!

You also have Three's Company listed right before the Family Guy. Any subliminal message there?

I kind of like it . . . you get good looks at the discs/cases . . . get some good insights into content . . . get more opinions on the release. More power to 'em.

The real question is . . . why is the "bragging" such a big deal to you???

If the "bragging" poster can supply information that can't be found in non-existant reviews (such as the presence of the previously unannounced DTS track) then I'm all for these threads. Maybe you didn't like the movie enough so you can wait an extra three weeks for it and more power to you, but I like to have my movies quicker, especially ones I really liked.

DTS

Yes, the disc does indeed have a DTS track, and an awesome one at that.

Not for nothing, but most of these "found em early" threads are started by newbies. I really dont care if somebody found something early, because I dont believe it, and if it is true then congrats your bragging is well deserved.

I haven't posted much, but I frequent the forums all the time. My intentions were not to brag, and not intended to cause a problem, such as the recent Two Towers thread did. I simply want to offer answers to anyone with questions, as their have been no reviews of the title so far. It's not the case of Two Towers, where the movie has been reviewed almost everywhere, and the poster would not reveal the location. I picked it up at a DVD shop right in Time Square, and if anyone wants the name, PM me, I have no problems telling you where. If you don't believe me, that's fine. In any case, I can answer questions you have, and if you want pics, I can send em to someone who knows how to insert them into the post. Sorry if I piss anyone off.
