Concert for George Harrison DVD

Has anyone seen any information or reviews about this disk anywhere? I'm thinking about picking this up for the Monty Python "reunion" alone...

I havent seen the disc yet, but I saw it in the movies and its one of the most moving concerts Ive ever seen. If youre a fan of George and his music then you should run to buy it on Tuesday. One disc is the move, the other is the complete concert. I'm a big Python fan, but the part with the Pythons wasnt great, they did lumberjack song, so unless the complete concert has anything else its not worth it just for that. Buy it for the moving performances, especially Shankar and Clapton. Truly amazing stuff.

Sorry to dig this back up but I just picked this up.

Freakin AMAZING! Very moving (as was mentioned). All the musicians give a stand up performance.

The sound is great... DTS or DD5.1

Disc 1 is the complete concert. Disc 2 is the theatrical cut plus some extras (rehearsals, interviews..)

The booklet is pretty cool. Nice photos along with an essay and thoughts from some of the musicians. The last message from his widow is very heartfelt.

This set is one of the best concerts I've seen. Period.

Do the proceeds from this go to charity? I know the ones from teh theatrical release did, but what about the DVD. It may make my rental turn into a purchase.

Thanks,

Dan

The proceeds DO go to charity, Harrison's Material World Foundation...which is why I sprung for the audio cd as well.

Pick it up. It's awesome. My husband is a big Python fan and really enjoyed it. It was cool to see Tom Hanks filling in with the troupe.

One of the best concert films ever! Watch both discs. The theatrical version, while shorter and not shown in the correct order includes interviews that are not on disc one.

I did buy it last week - I haven't watched the theatrical version yet, but disc 1 was awesome! Sit on my Face was just great - too bad that John Cleese wasn't there.
