Anyone know how to go about getting a DVD replaced by ADV ?

How Irritating i finally sit down and watch my farscape S1 box set over the weekend. I make it all the way to disc 10 only to find the 2nd episode is all blocky. The disc is obviously defective as i tried it on multiple dvd players. I guess the disc 10 is the same farscape 10 that is sold seperately. I ordered the boxset thru bestprices.com i could send it back and wait for a replacement but they tell me they wont have new stock for awhile + the cost to ship the box back via fedex/ups. I would think ADV would have to replace the faulty disc ? so i guess i can try that route. anyone have any information i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Its best to write them a fairly clear description of
your problem. You should get a response from
a chick named Destiny. Takes a day or 2 to get
a response. Tuesday is also a holiday?
There should be an attachment with a form to
print/fill out. They are weird about what has to be
shipped back. Sometimes they want EVERYTHING
back. YMMV though.

You can also go to the advfilms site and
I believe there is info about them under
"about us" or something like that. good luck.

I had the exact same problem with my Farscape Season 1 box set from DDD. I have already sent mine back to them and am waiting to get a replacement.

This thread does not make confident that the replacement one will work either!!!

This truly sucks.

Please post if you hear anything back from that email address.

I have no idea when I will finally get my replacement set back from DDD. Exchanging bad discs through DDD is an EXTREMELY slow process.

I had the same problem with disc 10 of the first box set. I bought mine through Barns & Noble, exchanged the set, everything is good now.

PS. I also had to exchange Season 2, but that's because the discs were loose during shipping, not because they were defective.

I heard right back from Destiny about 20 minutes after i sent my email to ADV. She is allowing me to send back just the bad disc instead of the the whole box set.

I forgot to mention not sure if i am going to do that now or not. bestprices is willing to ship out a new set prior to me having to return the defective one. but they are still on backorder for S1. so i am going back n forth. i dunno how long it takes to process a return at ADV i should have asked or how long it will take Bestprices to get new stock.

This would be a hell of alot easier on me if i had allready seen the episodes before. I am dying to see that conclusion on disc 10 plus the final two episodes. To top that off i can't touch my S2 set yet either till i get to view the rest of S1. I am almost to the point of saying screw it and just buying that disc 10 for $11 new.

I had the same problem. I eventually just siad 'screw it' and I watched the rest of the season so I could move on to season 2. I could figure out most of what probably happened based on the rest of the eps, but it still sucked not being able to see it.
