I just checked Amazon, and it's still listed as Dec. 2 on there plus it looks like the price has been raised.

I guess w/ that info on the Disney Store site, though, we're pretty much assured a Spring release. I'm with y'all though in hoping that they weren't pulled to censor them, esp. "On the Front Lines". That's the main one I'm looking fwd to, and I will be irate if it is messed with (content wise) from the initial releases.

EDIT: Scratch that first paragraph. I just went to change the shipping type, and it says ship date 5/6. Damn Disney ripping this out from under us. On the upside, at least I have a unanimous winner for film to view that night: Pirates of the Caribbean.

That IS a bummer, but to be honest, I still have tons of material on the previous Treasures that I haven't even begun to delve through. So maybe this is an opportunity to do that. They really are amazing sets and Disney is to be commended for producing them. Back when I was staying up til all hours to watch Vault Disney (especially the Ink & Paint club, RIP), I never would have dreamt we'd see anything like these magnificent sets.

I wouldn't be too disappointed if they were delayed. There is plenty of other stuff I want to get.
If you're not bothered then don't bother posting. These are the releases which I have been wanting more than anything else and I get sick of people saying they don't care about the delay. There are loads of films I'm not interested in but I don't keep posting saying why do they bother releasing this stuff!

Wow, so you have the right to express your opinion, but nobody else does?

That's really odd, same site still shows Front Lines & Mickey Mouse available to own DEC.2 2003. Only shows Donald being available to own Spring 2004

Well if it's Donald that is being delayed, maybe he's in some sort of contract dispute. I mean, he get's really bent out of shape on the Disney Channel's "House of Mouse", so it only makes since that he'd hold out on a release of this magnitude. It may be something about him wanted Mickey replaced with his image...

Certainly odd...

A couple month delay I can understand, but six month?

These would've been good Christmas presents, but alas...

Maybe they had some "editing" to do to the wartime stuff?

Wartime isn't one of the delayed ones according to the Disney link.

Just Donald and Tomorrowland.

Quite odd, and yet so frustrating.

This link shows that they are making 250000 copies this time . They pbbly want to make some money next year :-)

Celebrating the career of the most prolific of Walt's ''Fab Five,'' this volume features all 36 of Donald's starring shorts, from ''Donald and Pluto'' in 1936 to ''Chef Donald'' in 1941.

Featuring exclusive introductions by film historian Leonard Maltin, this is a timeless collection from generations past for generations to come. Packaged in a highly collectible individually numbered tin, this two-disc set features an exclusive collectible lithograph. Numbered Limited Edition of 250,000. Available to own Spring 2004

I am totally disappointed and completely crestfallen.

This is the biggest disappointment of the year. I really love all these titles and was really disappointed to hear this.

The delay sucks, but delaying them untill May sucks worse. Releasing these at Christmas has become a sort of tradition. It's the best time of year to release them. Having them in May sucks. I won't be in the mood as I'm tuning up for summer.

And for all of you that don't care....YOU SUCK

I was really looking forward to watching Mickey's Christmas Carol on the MMILC2. Don't ask me why, but it just won't be the same watching it in May.

Great, and I know Disney catches alot of flack for their decisions, but this one REALLY pisses me off.

Wait till May. Thats horrible.

What does that mean for the wave after?

And weren't they toying with this idea last year?

For those who have these wave 3 Disney Treasures sets on preorder with Amazon using STL at the old price, will Amazon keep these orders active at that price or are they going to use this as an excuse to mass-cancel them and force us to re-order at the higher prices?

It's bad enough to have this delay, but if Amazon cancelled the orders to raise prices that it would really be mean.

Or what happens to the price if the person that gave you STL decides to cancel their order?

Well this is good news to me because I did not pre order and it looks like that is the only way to get these. Unless I am misreading their reason for delay. I will definitely pre order now.

Why do you say that? When they're released they will be at your local Best Buy.
