Why aren't studios educating people about widescreen?

No matter how many pictures I show my parents about how much of the movie they miss with full screen, I get the same response.
"But you can see their faces better, the tops of their heads aren't chopped off and everything is closer and easier to see"
They continue to buy full screen DVDs when possible and they are going to be sorry once they see those on the widescreen TV I have bought them for Xmas.
