Not a personal comment I made, sorry if you thought so.

Some people don't think this dvd is worth $20+ unless it has a free ticket. Fine. So don't buy it. End of story.

I THINK that's all I said.

Me? I'm buying because I think it is worth it.

God, even at $40 it's still only $10 a disc. At $25 it's around $6.

"darn ... 20-25 for the ext version ??? I am paying 110 FJ$ which is like 60US$ ... darn .. but i can;t wait .."

Muahahha! And I only have to pay 8 canadian... :)

Although I couldn't care less about the absence of the free ticket, it would have been nice.

Also, it has been posted that they don't have to give away a free ticket since virtually all of us who purchase the EE will see ROTK when it arrives in theaters. True, but if I did not have the free ticket last year, my wife would not have gone to the movie--since she had no interest in LOTR. Since we had a freebie, she went, loved it, ran home watched the first film (both cuts), read the books, bought me TTT on release day, preordered the EE online and is anxiously awaiting the premier of the final film. Seriously.

Damn, where can I get one of those wifes? :D

Even though TTT:EE doesn't include a free ticket, I will see it many times over. Need..... return..... king...

That's just an awesome story  . . . I love watch "non-believers" get hooked against their will. :D

Man that is pretty cool. I think it would be cool to have a free ticket but damn, to outsiders we must look like a pretty picky bunch. I mean can we not all agree that FOTR: EE was one of the best dvd releases ever? And here we are (some of us) complaining about TTT: EE even though it looks to be just as good. Come on people it's a bargain anyway you slice it unless you really are not a fan of the movies.

chanster 11-12-03 10:18 AM

There is a difference between one of the best DVD releases to date and getting a bargain.

I am usually pretty price concious on what I buy ( I don't feel I have to own every movie anymore) so the free ticket was a nice way of getting me to buy the LOTR: EE.

This isn't a nitpick, its a simple economic decision.
