I dont like them because it really spoils the dvd itself. Imagine being forced to watch trailers on movies like The Godfather, or Ben Hur....it just taints the whole dvd itself.
I want the movie and thats it. I used to not mind the Universal multi introduction trailer....u know, the one with all the clips, and the music in the background and ends with the universal planet logo. Thats not so bad....but whole trailers?? No thanks

I mean, why go to the store and buy it or order it online? That takes your precious time.
Why remove the shrinkwrap and security seals? That takes time.
Why turn on your DVD player and home-theater system? That takes time.
Why insert the disc in the player and press a button? That takes time, too.
So after taking all that time, you're going to complain about 3 freaking seconds out of your precious schedule to fast-forward through "forced" trailers? Give me a break.
These "forced" trailers are a minor annoyance, but no more than all those other time-wasters--and certainly not any worse than waiting for FBI warnings or studio logos that truly are forced--such as Paramount's or Anchor Bay's, which you cannot circumvent. As long as you can fast-forward through them (we're talking just a few seconds longer than skipping Disney's trailers) or there is some other work-around, Universal's trailers are not forced.

If you don't care, then why are you taking shots at those that do? What bothers me is strictly MY business, and if you're not concerned, its none of your concern, is it?
I'm sorry, to the board, but this whole diatribe about "you have to turn on the DVD player, you have to take off the shrink wrap" made me angry. If the guy doesn't care, then why must he take this hostile, superior attitude to those that do? Its a discussion board, and we're having a discussion. If you don't care for the thread, click on another thread that interests you more. If you have nothing of real substance to contribute to the thread, you're just being a troll, aren't you?
Give you a break, give ME a break. If people have complaints, they have a right to them, given that its a legitimate, and shared complaint. The only thing more pathetic than complaining is people who complain about people complaining about things just because it doesn't fit their own self-centered interest.
Again, sorry, everybody, but I get defensive about this sort of behavior.
