I joined yesterday.. But other forums have been really nasty when "I am new" threads are created, so i abstained ..

I like dvds too, but i don't think I shall be listing them any time soon.. My absalute favourites are T2 and LOTR EE I enjoy bass in my films and really enjoy getting the best out of my [ bragmode ]M&K MX500, Yamaha YST-SW800, KEF 45B[/ bragmode ] all together muahahahah.. sorry. So far there are about 4 x 150 shelves here.. but I collect some movies for the sake of it.. I bought loads of c*ap like the "driller killer" which were only £2.99 to be fair on me

I love my olden goldies too, and looking forward to the day when a decent release of Murder INC by bogart comes on DVD .. Looking forward to most are the Alien collection and LOTR TT EE that DTS-Es is going to rattle my ribcage when I come to the helms deep wal breaker

So yes.. hello

I find it odd that you don't have the movie Gandhi. Or, is it not listed because you ate your copy?

I do want Gandhi, but I haven't got around to purchasing it. Im mainly trying to phase out my VHS right now.

On a side note: DigestingGandhi does have a double meaning. Either physically digesting, or the digesting (mentally) of his works....whichever you choose says something about your character....a bit violent are we?

May I know which other nasty forums you joined? 'Cause dvdtalk and home theater forum are quite nice to everyone.

Looks like a newbie thread.

Welcome!

You'll have a blast here on Dvd Talk.

See the drop-down menu in the upper left?

Look for Other.

Welcome DigestingGandhi!
And may I say that your collection is very nice, with the only movie missing being "The Big Lebowski" (since you own Blood Simple).

Well, there actually is a reason for that. The big lebowski is my favorite comedy EVER...and I have the VHS, which will tide me over untill a SE is released....which I'm sure isn't TOO far away since the movie is becoming a bit of a cult classic.

It's been discussed, but, there's a nice anamorphic transfer on the current release of Big Lebowski. I'm not sure what else they can do with it to make it "special," other than repackaging it and increasing the price. It can be had for now for under $10.00 at deepdiscountdvd.com

There's no real reason to expect a rerelease.

You can use the links at the top of the page to get to deepdiscount.

BTW. Welcome to the forums.

So I assume you've been to LebowskiFest then? You have no excuses, fellow Louisvillian!

And welcome!
