Thanks for the review.

U helped me make my mind up, to not get this & wait for the NEXT version with some making of documentaries . The extras look to be shit.

Actually, extras are not as bad as they first appear. Ignore the first section with the usual 12 min making of promo piece, and there are some decent effects docs on the second page, which also cover some of the stunts, model work and editing.

I like some of the interactivity too, the time line, the character profiles and to a certain extent the "create your own effects" bit, which is just a way of compositing various elements together. Not something you would want to do more than once, though.

Menu's are very well put together.

The deleted scene is hilarious, but it could never have made it into the movie - just too dumb, and the movie had a little too much dumb humour for my liking anyway.

I started watching the movie last night (fell asleep before the end - no reflection on the movie, just tired). Great pic, and very good sound. The R1 version does not have DTS, but does have a "specially mixed for home theater 5.1" track - and I thought this was pretty darn good. Very powerful, and lots of surround activity. The UK version will have DTS, but I decided to go for this one anyway.

Of course, we all know there will be another version to come - the docs obviously look to be a lot longer, and you know a lot of on set and making of footage would have been shot with a movie like this.

But I liked the movie, and I just had to have it. Will probably trade it in when the next version comes along.

(by the way, I picked this copy up in the UK on Wednesday)

My guess would be never. Terminator is put out by MGM, T2 by Artisan, and T3 by Warner Brothers. So, unless you order something overseas or make one yourself, I don't see this one happening.

Word of the street is that it will be called "Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines: Governor's Edition"
