Somebody should be beaten with a Rotten Fish for this (NoTLD w/Laugh Track)

I seen this while I was looking over DVDEmpire's Recent Additions page
http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...item_id=566389

That has got to be the worst idea EVER! Replace a Classic Horror films audio with "Hip Hop" and add a Laugh Track. What would Romero think, I can put up with all the crappy releases studios put out of NoTLD, heck I even thought a 3-D version was OK, but when you F*#@ with the soundtrack & replace the entire thing with stupid "Hip Hop" crap that's going too far.

Dumb idea. Aren't they going to do something like this with some Bruce Lee movies as well?

Bear in mind that these are the producers behind:

"Kinky and Ta-Ta want to find a man they can marry so they bet each other on who can find one first. The laughs won't stop until the first, 'I do.'"

...and probably my favorite:

... because Lord knows, you HAVE to buy this version. You can't POSSIBLY ignore it.

Seriously, it's public domain, how would you not expect this to happen?

The people that will buy this are the people that watch and actually enjoy that Kung Faux "show"

I actually started watching the Chinese Connection with the laugh track. Lasted 10 minutes. Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

NotLD MST3K would be one thing... canned laughter in and of itself? Lazy, no talent fools.

What the *&* is bling bling anyway? I saw an ad for some Mario game, and it had the bad guy Wario all decked out in gold and chains and rings, and it said something like 'The guy with the bling bling' or something inane.
Those do look like quality films...I think I'll stick with Lloyd Kaufman's work.
Tangy Guacamole. That doesn't even make any sense.

Will the copyright for this movie ever revert back to romero so this madness can stop,or is it doomed to public domain forever?

I believe "bling bling" is hip-hop lingo for "money," as in the sound a cash register makes.

No, it stems from shiny, ostenatious jewelry.

I just love seeing all the 12 year olds jumping on the bus with all their bling bling, and leotard wrapped around their heads. It's even funnier when the 18 year old white boys are seen doing it.

Not with out a retroactive rewrite of the copyright laws (not bloody likely).

It's stuck in PD. Which means colorized versions, 3-D versions, laugh track versions, "new footage" anniversary versions, and dozens of dozens of crappy, blurry versions.

At least Romero and Elite have continued to present us with definitive editions on laserdisc and DVD. I'm more than happy to ignore all of the other crap.

I just feel sorry for the thousands of people out there that end up buying a 'cheaper' version to save a few bucks. They'll never know what they've been missing.

you can argue the idea, but i don't think they are trying to fool or mislead anyone.

this company is trying to make it a series, like mad movies and mst3k.

A Classic Flick With A New Kick

"Laugh Track isia new series of films-classic late night cinema, but withia whole new attitude. It's been replaced with hip-hop, humor andia brand new story lineito create theisickest trip around. "

i don't know if there is an actual laugh track on it, it seems the series is called laugh track.

think of "what's up tiger lilly"

It's like I want to laugh bitterly and throw up at the same time, and my brain just can't figure out who's gonna win that one.
