Hulk Dvd - No Insert?
Got this at Wally World at midnight last night. Mine does not have an insert. I know Buena Vista dvds purposely don't. I just hope Universal isn't going in the same direction. Anyone else have an insert-less HULK?

Considering Far From Heaven, a Universal release, didn't have an insert I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't one in the Hulk. Then again, it's not too big a deal for me--I just want the movie.

What, no insert and forced trailers too?
That's it, life is not worth living, I cannot go on, what's the point?
I reallly cannot understand this - I think I read booklets with dvd's perhaps once, and who needs a chapter list when you have scene selection?
As others have said, it's the movie that counts.
And you wonder why people think DVD afficionado's are geeks with our insistence on OAR.
I will argue the benefits of OAR with anyone, but pieces of bloody paper and trailers?
Give me a break.

What is the big friggin' deal with inserts? Sort of pathetic when people will not buy a movie because it doesn't have an insert. Never in my life have I bought a DVD for the insert. If there is a movie I want. I could care less how it is packaged or the added crap as long as I get the movie I want. While inserts are nice, it sure isn't worth not buying a movie over.

Ahem...from your original post, Mr Cinema -
"I just hope Universal isn't going in the same direction"
(yeah, yeah, I know - cannot do quotes...)
Well, that certainly sounds like a dissenting voice to me.
You have made it perfectly clear you are not happy there is no insert, and we have disagreed and made our feelings known.
You should have the courage of your convictions, and stand by your original comments.
Sure, perhaps some of the comments here were a little stinging, mine included - but were all adults here, and we should all be able to take it as well as dish it out.

I want all MY discs to come with inserts.
Resinrats.
What is pathetic is that it makes people mad that some of us want that.
Ahem.... JM1's last post is even snobbier than his first. I can see if MrCinema said "the people who don't care about inserts are ruining everything."
Perhaps they could start making scratched, stained, hand labeled discs in a brown paper sleeve for people like Marty then he would not have to trouble with the inserts.
You are not alone Mr. Cinema.

I always want to post a message on one of these threads but I figure that if I can't say something nice I won't say it at all (although who really cares about inserts?).
Although that's never stopped anyone else here.

If you don't care about the thread, don't post. Ignore the topic and move on to the next thread.

Not trying to threadcrap, but I am starting to think that inserts have no value whatsoever. I have yet to look at an insert from any dvd that I own. I would like them to have inserts, but I don't know if it is that big a deal anymore to me. Hardly any of them come with anything really useful except for the chapter list. Are there any dvds that really require one?

There is no insert in the Hulk disc.
I can't believe it took a dozen posts to answer a simple question. Sheesh.

inserts
I cannot believe some of you are still maintaining that the original poster asked a simple question - read the post again.
The inference seems to be that I have jumped on the guy for asking a question, when in fact he has made it clear that he is not happy that he not happy with DVD's with no inserts.
And I am sorry, but when I keep seeing similar posts like this about no inserts, and with some people going as far as cancelling their orders, I just have to say something and make my point.
Yes, I am venting a certain amount of frustration, but I really don't think I am being offensive - I have seen people be outrageously rude and use swear words on this forum, but I have never indulged in that sort of behaviour. If you want to say I am snobbish, fine. Though people who know me would never describe me as such, don't you know, what?
As for not replying if I don't care about the subject, that's not the point. If I have an opinion on the matter, I am entitled to voice it, am I not? Just because I disagree with the original poster is no reason to give me this "why are you are even getting involved" attitude.
You want inserts? Fine.
I don't care, and so do a lot of others.
At the end of the day, we are never going to agree, so lets just leave it at that.

Doesn't get much more simple than that.
I can, however, empathize with your need to rant.

I hate to be picky about this...but.
Please look at the original post again -
Got this at Wally World at midnight last night. Mine does not have an insert. I know Buena Vista dvds purposely don't. I just hope Universal isn't going in the same direction. Anyone else have an insert-less HULK?
And look more closely -
Now, is it just me, or does anyone else agree that this clearly indicates the original posters dislike for insert-less DVD's?

Check out this analogy:
Got some cookies from my grandmother last night. They didn't have chocolate chips. I know my aunts cookies never do. I just hope my grandmother isn't going in the same direction. Anyone else get cookies without chocolate chips from my grandmother?
Okay . . . now I want some cookies . . .

Instead of fueling the bickering, why didn't Static just move the thread to the subforum where it belongs?
