Anyone Else Had This Problem?
Over the weekend, I tried to play my copy of Halloween H20. However, the disc could not be "loaded" by the DVD player. I tried the disc in several players with the same results. I never had a problem playing the disc before, now all of a sudden, it just doesn't work.
Any ideas what could be wrong with the disc? It's not dirty, scratched or anything. It is in perfect condition.
Thanks.

I have had that problem. I remember cleaning the disc anyway and that helped. Mine worked in other players though. You my friend got stuck with a lemon. Try to exchange it.

Is this an Anchor Bay title? I've had MANY problems with mis-authoring on those. Heck, my Heathers SE disc has never worked right. I haven't bothered to replace it yet.

I had this happen with an Apollo 13 (DD SE version) DVD.
I'd had it for over a year, had watched it 2-3 times, and then loaned it to my uncle. But when he tried to play it, it wouldn't load. Just kept spinning and spinning...sob......and spinning...sob *tear*...and spinning and spinning.
-Ahem-
If it doesn't work on multiple players, and it doesn't look dirty, or still doesn't work after you clean it, then it's probably gone bad somehow. If you bought it from a local store, you might try asking if they'll exchange it for you.
I still need to replace that Apollo 13 DVD too....sigh
