Anyone else find it interesting how few women are list as "Top Actor", or even in the top 5 or 10 in people's lists?

That's because male stars are always listed first in most films.

It's just the way it goes - it's a union thing: leading man, leading lady, etc.

If boxsets counted correctly Audrey Hepburn would be my top actor/actress with 4 movies.

Granted, with a small collection like mine (57) it's easier to manage, I wonder if anyone with 200+ dvds has a woman in the top actor/actress spot.

The things we do for some interesting stats! It took me two nights to transfer my list from DVDaf to Guzzlefish... title by title. There were a few that GF didn't have listings for, mainly other region discs, and some that were oddly named (Coup de Torchon is listed as Clean Slate, the English translation), but this is pretty close to all of it.

Owned: 380

Yea!! We have our first female "Top Actor" on WhiteRob's list. Mind you I'm a little disturbed by who it is, but I guess you take what you can get.

Yeah, Cosmic Bus, I know how you feel and I only had ~160 when I did my transfer from DVD AF to Guzzle. I'm just glad I set it up when I did. Updating is much less painful.

Observations so far . . .

1) A with the number of people who have Ben Affleck as the top (or close to the top) actor, it seems that many of us have an affinity for Kevin Smith, Armaggedon (hopefully the CC version), Pearl Harbor, and, maybe, Good Will Hunting, as well (hopefully nobody owns School Ties yet, because it's only a bare bones release ).
As I have added DVD's to my Guzzlefish collection, I've been keeping an eye on my "Top Actor" stat to see if Ben would ever move from his #1 position. Well, the other day, with the addition of the Mr. Deeds (SE), Steve Buscemi usurped Mr. Affleck from the top spot in my collection. I thought that this warrented a "stats update".
My original stats from 10-23-03
Owned: 174 Wish List: 14

Top Decade: 1990s
Top Director: Steven Spielberg (tied with Kevin Smith . . . 5 each)
Top Actor: Ben Affleck (9! - I think that's because of all the Kevin Smith movies . . . Maggie Smith is my top actress with 5)
Top Writer: Terry Gilliam (tied with Kevin Smith . . . 4 each)
Latest Movie: Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (Widescreen)

Breakdown:
Comedies 34%
Dramas 26%

Top Actor: Steve Buscemi (with 10 movies . . . Maggie Smith is now my top actress tied at #6 with 8 movies)
Top Writer: Terry Gilliam (now in a 3-way tie Harold Ramis and Kevin Smith . . . still with 4 each)

I don't have an update but while looking through these old stats I noticed jough's latest addition at the time being Indiana Jones; reminds me of his Best Buy story.

On another note, I noticed on my list that Samuel L. Jackson isn't credited for Do the Right Thing.

I also noticed that Chow Yun-Fat is credited 4 times for each movie he is in, so if someone has him as their top actor it could be a lie!

Yeah, as much as I like Chow Yun-Fat, I'm getting tired of seeing him there (should be DeNiro,of course).
