It's about time Top Gun got a Special Edition. I wonder why they wanted so long.

Now all we have to do is get somebody to listen to my ideas for Top Gun 2 and we'll be all set.

I usually don't have any use for actor commentaries, but I'd love to hear Cruise and/or Tony Scott's on Top Gun. There's been few recent films to launch an actor from well-known into MEGASTAR like Top Gun(Titanic and Leo being the only one I recall since then), and I'd love to hear his impressions of the ride.

Let's just hope they release Young Indiana Jones in one big box set, rather than episode by episode.

I was just thinking of picking up Top Gun the other day as a blind buy (that's right, I've never seen it before), but something inside told me I shouldn't. Good thing! Only one of those I'll have to upgrade is South Park.

Add me to a list of those hoping for a drunken commentary on the South Park DVD. Come to think about it, I should listen to the Cannibal commentary again sometime soon.

Yeah, South Park is probably the only one I'll get.

Say what!?!?! I guess that's not so bad since I haven't seen some popular movies either (like the entire Indiana Jones trilogy ).

Don't you have any friends that you can borrow the DVD from? It'll be a great blind buy, though, if you wait until the SE release.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen the whole thing all of the way through . . . and I get severely ridiculed for it. The SE will be a good, redemptive, purchase.

zeus . . . I had a friend in college (aorund '95) who had never seen any of the Indy movies OR the Star Wars movies!!! We quickly cured her of that when we found out.

BTW . . . if you've seen some of a movie or can't remember if you've seen it, but go ahead and buy the DVD, what kind of buy is it? A color-blind buy? A blurry buy? A near-sighted buy?

Hopefully they'll re-do the sound mixes on Untouchables and Top Gun. They both suck.

the Region 2 current release of the film has a pretty funny video for the "Chicken Wings" song, and during Cartman's spew of obsensity he utters the C word which is not in the US cut of the film (go figure?)

All 4 please, with only Top Gun being a double dip. But seeing as the first one was a gift, I couldn't care less .
