Warner Bros. 2-Disc Special Edition DVDs

I'd like to collect WB 2-disc SE DVD movies, but I lost track of the titles that have been released or are to be released. Here's a list I have or plan to buy:

Amadeus (1994 Best Picture Oscar)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975 Best Picture Oscar)
Singin’ in the Rain (1952)
True Romance (Unrated) (1993)
Unforgiven: 10th Anniversary (1992 Best Picture Oscar)

2/18/2003
The Color Purple (1985)

2/25/2003
The Cardinal (1963)

5/13/2003
The Mission (1986)

6/10/2003
Giant (1956)
Once upon a Time in America (1984)
The Right Stuff (1983)
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)

8/5/2003
Casablanca (1943)

9/30/2003
Warner Legends Collection
The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Yankee Doodle Dandy

10/7/2003
A Christmas Story (1983)

10/21/2003
Space Jam (1996)

11/11/2003
JFK (1991)

---- Two-Disc but not marked so ---
9/25/2001
Citizen Kane (1941)

11/6/2001
Doctor Zhivago (1965)

5/28/2002
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

4/11/2003
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

7/1/2003
The Chaplin Collection Volume One
Modern Times (1931)
The Great Dictator (1940)
The Gold Rush (1925)
Limelight (1919)

10/14/2003
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)

Your help with the available titles and release dates is appreciated. Also, are all of these available at Columbia House? Thanks.

I didn't know if you were aware that there is a box set holding all three of those, plus an extra disc. The box can probably be bought cheaper than the three individual discs, as well.

It is called Warner Legends (or something similar.)

In addition to the two-disc JFK out now in a snapper, WB is releasing a more "official" Two Disc Special Edition to coincide with the 60th anniversary of JFK's assasination.

We have to wait another 20 years? I hope it's in HD-DVD format (or better)!

Not the easiest thing to get hold of by all accounts either...my order from 2 weeks ago still hasn't shipped

I got a bit annoyed at the wait, and emailed Amazon over the weekend. It shipped Monday. Coincidence?

I like saving the money with STL and Trivia but the wait is killing me. I still haven't gotten the Warner Legends box and now they say that the Scarface box set is out of stock too. These titles were no where to be found anyway at the B&M's that I checked so I guess I'd be waiting anyway.

Whoops. My mind was gone for that post.

But I'd assume it's safe to add the new JFK SE to the list. It streets 11/11.

updated

Thanks for the info. I really need to catch up. I don't have any of the two-disc special editions released after 2/18/03. (time to join Columbia House again). I have all the two-disc movies except the Chaplin Collection.

I got a notice yesterday that shipping on my Warner Legends box from Amazon was delayed until Nov 21 and asking if I wanted to cancel. I check again today and it is "being prepared for shipping" and my order "cannot be modified." Weird. I've heard that others got the delay message, too. Maybe a lot of people canceled their orders and mine got bumped up in priority or something. In any event, I can't wait to get it!!!

Don't forget "The Lon Chaney Collection" coming from TCM Archives! (October 28th)

Also, the 4-disc Looney Tunes set should be considered. (the 2-disc version is worthless since it has NO extras and half the cartoons)

I've had this happen with them before too . . . they think that the order will be delayed and then send out the note, but then they get the order earlier than expected, but have already sent out the delay notice. One of the problems of not having your inventory and order fulfilment systems tied together closely enough.
