I am so lame--just ordered LOTR: FOTR EE Box

Yeah, I know, I should have got this thing a long time ago, but, well, it's pretty cheap so I got it.

I'm gonna order the Twin Towers box set too I guess. How many of you have postponed getting these sets or ordering them?

The FOTR EE just had a price drop, for anyone else thinking of taking the plunge.

I've seen it glad I didn't buy it. Sorry, I like the movies but I'm not a fan.

Ignore lesterlong . . . . . . it will be one of your favorite purchases . . . a spectacular box set. I am a staunch supporter of the additions in the EE version of FotR and am chomping at the bit for the TT EE Box set to come out, too. Well choosen . . .

Nothing lame about that! I'm going EE for the next two, too!

I just picked up FOTR:EE a couple months ago. I was just blown away by how much better it was than the original 2-disc release. The special features on it are probably the most amazing compilation I've ever seen, and the story is so much more complete with all the tiny additions. There was no doubt in my mind I had to wait for the EE version of Two Towers.

I make that same mistake all the time.

I haven't bought either of the movies yet. I just assume that after the 3rd movie comes out, there will be some kind of trilogy box set so I'm waiting for that. Even if there isn't, I'm not in any real hurry to watch the movies again.

I really can't wait for the extended edition of The Two Towers. It just better not have that same glitch near the end....

I believe Peter Jackson and New Line have both stated that there will be NO boxed set release of all the films after all is said and done, which I really hope is true but I guess there's always the old adage, "I'll believe it when I see it". And even if there is, I already bought the FOTR gift set and I've already preordered my TTT gift set so I would have no interest in a future release with all 3 films in a boxed set.

Could you explain this? My copy is glitch free.

Does anyone know if a ticket to The Return of the King will be included in the EE editions?

Amazon has the FOTR EE for $27.99 US.

I've seen it at Future Shop for $39.99 Canadian.

If you only want the EE, DeepDiscountDVD has it for $19.98 with free shipping . . . but don't stop there . . . get the box set! Must have statue/bookends! . . . oh wait . . . I don't care about those so much . . . ahhh . . . Must have National Geographic special! Yeah . . . there we go . . . that works . . .

My bad . . . I was looking at the TR, not the EE. Doh! Either way, it's still cheaper.

Because the title reads "LOTR: FOTR EE Box", I was misled thinking that this was the Box set including the National Geographic set and Bookends. The EE is the 4 disc set. The Box seems to be the full boxset. No wonder I couldn't find it for less than 52.00.

Well don't feel alone, I haven't bought the FOTR EE yet either. I have been waiting for a price drop. May have to pick it up now.

Is there a rebate in Two Towers for those who buy both theatrical and extended? Like they did for FOTR?
