Lion King Platinum Edition & Christmas Vacation SE

If TBS ever stops showing the 24 hours of A Christmas Story, then I'd have to pick that one up. Part of the joy of watching it is catching it during that time span. Reminds me of when It's a Wonderful Life used to be shown a half million times during the holiday season and I'd catch parts here and there.

I'm getting Christmas Story SE. Best Buy has it for $19.99. I can't get it fast enough! I can't believe people are waiting. I was so disappointed the original DVD was in fullscreen. I recorded it on VHS off TCM, because they showed it in widescreen.

I agree with Star Wars Guy about seeing it on TV. Even though I own the DVD, I still get something special about seeing it on TV. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the thrill of watching it when it's scheduled, instead of popping in the DVD any time you want. I miss the 80's when you could watch It's A Wonderful Life on every channel on TV. That is my favorite movie of ALL TIME, and it really sucks that NBC bought the rights, and only show it once a year. I did catch it a few times last year on a local access community college station. When I was a kid, I would watch it from 6-8 on one channel, then catch the final 30 minutes on another channel it was playing on.

OK, so I'm an "It's A Wonderful Life" fanatic!

The sunday ads really disappointed me this week. There were quite a few films I was interested in, but due to what they've been priced this week, I'm less inclined to take a chance on them.

Stuff I will still buy Tuesday:

The Ultimate Vacation Collection
The Chucky Collection (If I find it cheap)

Stuff I will hold off on due to price:

A Christmas Story (It should be cheaper closer to the holidays)
Down With Love
Hollywood Homicide (Might get it at CC)
Willard (Might get it at CC)

Buncha haters, what about Sanford and Son? I saw like one person who's gonna buy it. Oh well make it two, cause I'm picking that and Christmas Story up. I can wait/pass on everything else.
