Release dates for OTHER Star Trek: DC DVDS?
With Star Trek V coming out now with the directors cut, does anyone know when VI is coming out as a directors cut? and Generations, First contact, etc etc?
I heard that ALL the movies were getting DC treatment is this true?
Anyone know any website with more info?

The Star Trek V DVD will not be a dirctor's cut. Paramount wouldn't foot the bill. So far there have been no details as to if the other movies will be director's cuts. As for release dates, Paramount has been releasing these at about 2 per year, so you can expect VI after the first of the year and VII sometime next fall. That is just my guess, but Paramount has been pretty predictable in regards to their release schedule.

The Digital Bits reported today that ST:6 should head our way in January. Nothing firm though.

Since it's the big TOS sendoff, the extras on this one should be impressive.

Considering that the theatrical version of VI is only 2 minutes shorter than the video cut, I don't see much difference.
The Bits also said a 10th anniversary edition of Generations is planned for 2004. That one, you may recall, had a lot of scenes cut from the theatrical version. And the previous DVD was bad -- not even a trailer!

I myself prefer the theatrical version to the video version with the scooby-doo ending...
but I'm looking forward another commentary from Meyer, the Wrath of Khan one was pretty good.
