World Series of Poker on DVD would be great...
I would love to have the WSOP from the past year on a multiple DVD set. There are other years that are great too!
Anyone else think this would be a great set?

I agree, this would be cool to see again. I just happened to catch it on ESPN and I was hooked. I really like the way they show it, with the "inside scoop" as it were.

I would buy a World Series of Poker Collection on DVD in a heartbeat, and I think it would actually sell better than most people would think. I would also like World Poker Tour in season sets but I don't think that would ever happen.

Check out worldpokertour.com. It's been advertised in CardPlayer magazine for a while.
But at 200 bucks, I ain't touching it if it's not OAR.

I had seen the WPT set online. It's brutally expensive. When I first saw it advertised in Card Player magazine, I assumed it might cost $39 or so... I was floored when I saw that it cost $200!
What are they thinking?

What they were thinking is that poker wannabes are suckers and will pay through the nose for information that’ll make them the next Moneymaker.
It looks like over 800 sets have sold. So P.T. Barnum was right.
There’s some poker software out there that’s incredibly pricey (90 bucks each for 5 different breeds of poker) and incredibly primitive. But it’s touted as great software.

Here's a link to a review of the set:

Sounds like a great set, but for that price, and no extras, I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I don't think the price of this is that bad when you consider it has 1200 minutes of programming.

I'd love to purchase this set, since I watch the shows all the time, but at $200, that's way too much. Maybe if it had some special features, like audio commentary from the winner of each tournament, It would be worth $100.
