Party Monster- Quickest theater to video release ever?

This is even faster than From Justin to Kelly. It was just released in limited release on September 5th, and now Yahoo Upcoming Movies has report an October 21st street date for Party Monster. I wonder if this is actually true. Usually the guy that runs that site is pretty accurate.

The DVD on 10-21 is the documentary the film was based upon.

I thought the Documentary about this was called
DISCO BLOODBATH

The release in Oct. is entitled PARTY MONSTERSHOCKUMENTARY

guess they changed the title to tie it in with the new film

I'm pretty sure that the "shockumentary" was always called Party Monster. I checked on IMDB and it doesn't seem to say it ever had an alternate title either (not that IMDB is always 100% correct).

The book that the documentary was based on was called "Disco Bloodbath".

Here are the special features on the documentary disc, according to DVDPlanet:

• Nelson Sullivan’s WORLD OF WONDER - a documentary about the explosion of creativity that is the East Village
• Clara The Carefree Chicken - a short segment about DISCO 2000’s zany mascot
• Audio Commentary - by James St. James, author of DISCO BLOODBATH
• Club USA TV Commercial - video loop that played at NYC’s infamous CLUB USA reflecting the club’s orgiastic fusion of sex and commerce.

According to TLAVideo, the film Party Monster, starring Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green, will be released on DVD on 2/10/04. SRP is apparently only $19.99.

On the topic of fast turnarounds, The Slaughter Rule came to DVD a month and 10 days after its theatrical release (I think it's the fastest turnaround). A great movie, I might add.

Also, From Justin to Kelly was a little over 2 months after its theatrical release, if I remember correctly.

Somehow I'm interested in renting Party Monster...

I thought that Mighty Joe Young(the newer version,of course) came out the fastest.Seems that it was released less than 90 days after it debuted at the theater..
