Universal blew it on the wes craven dvds.
At least they are on dvd....But...
I was reading the trades recently and saw an article about craven and the new hills have eyes dvd.
In the article craven is quoted as saying had he been asked by universal, he would have made time to contribute to extras such as commentary & interviews on the people under the stairs & serpent and the rainbow dvds.
Such dummies. They could have sold a few more units.
By the way, the dvds don't have 5.1 tracks
The region 2 dvd of shocker has a commentary by craven.
It has some quiet spots like on most of his commentaries, but he's a very intelligent guy and usually has some interesting things to say.
On the hills have eyes dvd commentary he praises the dvd format.

yeah they did blow it....but I'd like to at least enjoy the damn film for a few days before I start crying about how ****ed up it is. I'm a little upset, yes, but happy to have it to watch and enjoy....even without all it could have.

Isn't THE HILLS HAVE EYES and ANCHOR BAY release? Quite loaded with extras too, I just wish I could find a copy.
I wasn't expecting much from the UNIVERSAL releases of
SHOCKER
SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW
PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS
just having them released on DVD is good enough for me.
