I hope your right. I remember getting my hopes up about a year and a half ago when the release was announced, then canceled a week before the release date. When FREAKS is finally released on DVD I will celebrate with a FREAKS party, inviting all the sideshow freaks with whom I work.

I want:
Whiteboyz
Black Belt Jones
Just One Of The Guys
Masters Of Menace
Stewardess School
Downtown
Where can I find out if these will ever be available on DVD? Or any reasons as to why they're not out already.

Here's a couple of my faves that will probably never see DVD,
The Heavenly Kid (1985)
Two Of A Kind (John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John)
Big Bird In China
Sesame Street's Don't Eat The Pictures
Bill Cosby : Himself
Thank goodness I've got decent VHS copies and a DVD burner.

Although not a movie, I'd be very surprised to see Ralph Bakshi's Adventures of Mighty Mouse TV show to be released anytime soon. It's too bad, because the show was an early launching pad for John K., Bruce Timm and Paul Dini before they went on to bigger things.

Hickey & Boggs (72)- A very violent, gritty Bill Cosby movie! It has never been released on VHS.
Abby (74)- Blaxploitation Horror flick that too closely resembled the Exorcist. I think it was pulled from the theaters. I was lucky (?) enough as a kid to see it.

Twice Upon a Time. Anyone remember this old animated movie? HBO used to play the heck out of it in the mid-80s. I loved that movie. An uncensored version would be nice too...
Trivia -- Anyone know that David Fincher got his start with this movie, as a special effects guy?

In generally, there are tons of films not availble on dvd, and will never make it to dvd. some of the titles I can think of are
CRY-BABY was scheduled to be released then scapped. rumored to be on dvd in nov, i read that somewhere, i not holding my breath on that.
phantom of the oprea(1989) the robert englund version. I enjoy this film, and would like to see a proper special edition with this title, in oar format, with 2 comenrtaries by robert englund, jill shoelean, and one by dwight. h. little, as well as trailers, still gallery, etc. but I be happy just to see it oar,and on dvd,if nothing else. heres to hoping. but you'll never know.but somehow I keep wondering, that will not see the light of day. I never thought brainscan was going to make it to dvd, but it did, so maybe there is still hope that this robert englund film will as well

I guess I won't hold my breath for a DVD release of the 15-minute, no-budget horror classic "Attack of the Killer Refrigerator."

Too many Altman films. Brewster McCloud will not be released by WB (according to a WB interview from HTF) because the VHS "sold so poorly." Health is virtually unknown (it was released only in NYC and LA for a few days, then withdrawn) although it shows up on cable now and again. I have a sneaking suspicion we'll never see California Split because it never even made VHS, and I'll bet it's one that Altman said "has turned pink" in storage -- possibly unrecoverable (horrifying that a really good film from the 1970's may be lost forever). Probably some of his least-known work from the 1980's because they have an undeserved (sometimes) dreadful reputation -- OC and Stiggs, Secret Honor, Beyond Therapy, Vincent and Theo. Finally, I'd be very surprised to see the unjustly-maligned Quintet ever released because of its reputation of being completely unwatchable (I happen to like it very much).
My dream is that some small house (Fantoma, Blue Underground, Plexifilm or even Cult Epics, although Altman doesn't really fit the orientation of the latter two) will recognize Altman's genius and dedicate themselves to restoring and releasing every unreleased-on-dvd Altman title. Hey, I'd even accept such a series from Anchor Bay, Kino, or Image.
And, sadly, we'll probably never see Todd Haynes first film, The Karen Carpenter Story (Barbie plays KC, while Ken plays brother Richard) and the early John Waters film The Diane Linkletter Story (with Divine as Diane), both because of litigation by the respective families.
I, for one, think we will see Song of the South eventually. Leonard Maltin, who's a dedicated film historian and preservationist, will convince Disney to put it out in a Treasures tin, but probably only after the ultimate-suit Eisner retires.
