Just need 1 replacement case (Double Alpha) - suggestions?

Is there an easy way to get just 1 Double Alpha replacement case? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these the thick cases that are used for the Five Star series? My Lonesome Dove DVD case is in bad shape, and the cover art spine is too thick for a standard Amaray. Does AOL or MSN ever give these out?? Thanks.

You can buy them at InetDVD but shipping may end up costing you more than the case. If you're not in a hurry, and can wait a month or so, then you could have it sent via media mail and save on s/h costs. I have a whole bunch of black ones, maybe we could work something out.

I'm converting my collection to thinpaks. So I have some extra double apha cases that I've replaced with double thinpaks. If you pay for shipping, I'd be happy to send one (or some) to you. I have them in black and in silver. Email me if you're interested.

Actually Andrea, I could use some silver ones to replace a few damaged Five Stars in my collection (I prefer to keep them all silver for purposes of uniformity). How many do you have on hand?

Andrea--if you have any, could I pry a standard black double alpha away from you? My Do The Right Thing: CC is all cracked up. Thanks in advance...

cupcake, no problem. Just send me an email with your zipcode and I'll find out how much postage will be. Let me know if you prefer first class mail or media mail.

I usually trim the cover insert and put double-disc sets in dual slimline cases, but only if the spine art is thin enough to "fit" properly. I don't know, something about those clunky double-cases bugs me...

To me their size makes it really seem like I'm getting a quality dvd package.

I got really annoyed when Criterion made Down By Law an amaray with a snap-in holder for the second disc since all their other 2 disc sets are in double alphas. Made it seem like a lesser dvd then the other 2 disc CC's I have.

(Plus I don't need to mutilate the cover...)

I will have 3 spare Alphas as soon as I get Dinosaur, Atlantis and Emperor's New Groove special editions in the mail and replace them with an Amaray II double dvd case. If anybody else wants them let me know otherwise they get thrown in the recycle bin.
