SEABISCUIT specs

wow, didn't even know Soderbergh was involved with the movie. I was an extra during one of the race scenes. Fun times. Hope I can see myself on the dvd...we were right in the front...



Further Details
Universal Home Video have now released the official disc specs for the region one release of Seabiscuit which stars the likes of Tobey McGuire, Jeff Bridges and Chris Cooper. The disc is currently scheduled to arrive on the 16th December this year in both anamorphic widescreen and full screen editions. Each of these should set you back somewhere in the region of $26.98. You will also be able to own a limited edition gift set release from the same day. This will include the standard disc along with a behind-the-scenes book, collectible senitype, photo cards and a Seabiscuit bookmark. The price for this has yet to be confirmed. The specs and artwork for the standard release are below:

Too bad the wonderful American Expierence documentary is only included in the gift set. I was really hoping for it on the second disc of a 2-disc set. It was awesome, but there's no way I'll pay $5-$60 for it.

Soderburg sure must like doing commentaries. I was disappointed that there isn't a commentary track from author Laura Hillenbrand (a' la The Perfect Storm or Black Hawk Down). Those tend to be my favorite commentaries as you learn so much more.

from what i have heard, hillenbrand is too sick to do stuff like that. she couldn't even do much press for the film (i remember another author of a book on seabiscuit did some press for her).

will definitely pick this one up, i loved the movie!

tpp bad the featurette that was played at the sentator theater where they showed the race at pillico and a brief history is not included.
