1997 on up what was your 'BEST' free DVD?

I waited quite a while but one day the "Terminator 2" DVD showed up at my mailbox, man I was delighted! Shipping the free DVD cost about $2, but I was still very happy to get the 'new' free Terminator 2 DVD Wide Screen.

Do you remember your 'best' free DVD you received buying other titles and picking what name for your free DVD ?

You only want to know about free DVDs from 1997 on up? That's a shame, because I got some awesome free DVDs between 1982 and 1991.

I was paid $1.68 for getting Scream 3.

Some might say I still lost out on that deal

Oh gosh...you're making me nostalgic for the good old days...

Reel.com, 800.com, Freeride.com, Jaboom.com,....sigh....

I can't really think of one good DVD that I got for free but I must have gotten about forty or fifty DVDs free or essentially free. But if I really had to think....then it would be Saving Private Ryan DTS.

I got Star Wars Ep 1 for free, for signing up on some credit card... I've gotten my moneys worth out of it.

I got so many free dvds from whatshotnow.com it isn't even funny. Off the top of my head I can only remember getting South Park 1 through 6 but there were plenty. I also got the Insider from Amazon which was mispriced at $0 I think. Maybe it was a buck or something.

My all-time best though was when I got Silence of the Lambs Criterion from 800.com for 33 cents!

Dragonheart and The Little Mermaid are the only free ones I've gotten (unless you count that Jurassic Park bonus coaster).

But my favorite free DVD-related item was the commentary CDs for South Park Season 1.

"The Insider", when Amazon.com had it mispriced at $0 and honored the price.

See here... and here.

Also, a list of people who have gotten free dvds this way and which ones we've gotten can be found here.

Here is the complete list of DVDs (and other stuff) that I personally have received this way.
If any of you are interested, I would be delighted to provide you with a referral link or code (#25 at the site jonny#5 mentioned... sorry jonny). LMK

I did get Supergirl for free... totally free. Anchor Bay sent it along with the fixed Opera disc.

I think my best was the entire 9 DVD Stanley Kubrick Collection. Talk about something for nothing!

Do all those free DVDs I got from Amazon by using Freeride count? Actually, because of ******.com and coupons, I actually got paid $2.00 for Jaws when I ordered it from Reel.com.

Only true free DVD I got was The Minus Man from DDD (misprice that was honored), so I guess that's the best (LOTR:FOTR was pretty much free, but I did have to get that blockbuster card).

All the others cost between $2 and $6 (and $6 is sometimes more than I pay at CH, so I'm hardly going to call that free).

My first "so-called" free DVD was T2 (the original release). To get it, I had to buy a DVD (a very sucky Highlander release) that cost me all of 5.99. Technically, that is my first DVD, but I don't count it as such because I only bought it to have something cheap to test my new player on.
