I think the regular dvd should be 2 discs since the movie is around 2 and a half hours to begin with, so there may be problems, unless there is no dts, since the gladiator 1 disc has no dts while it has the deleted scenes (around 25 min of), a little featurette of scene's cut to the score, and the commentary, so they could fit all of this on one disc.

I'm just gonna stick with the regular edition. I spent enough on the Scarface gift set, and I need to save as much money as I can to purchase all the upcoming new releases.

Yeah - I'm torn. Fortunately, the History Channel showed the True Story of Seabiscuit documentary which showed the original race (although they chopped it up into clips and inserted commentary).

does anybody have the 2 disc set yet to confirm that it indeed has the original race in its entirty? at the senator theater, they ran a newsreel and then the race before the movie started, and i want to see that race. if its in clips, or edited or what not, then i'll just get the one disc version.
