'The Game' DVD question

Is there any differences between the Polygram Studios release and the Universal Studios release?

They're the same exact disc.

One has a horse on the spine and one has a planet.

From what's been reported of late the Criterion release is now sadly a nonissue.

Unfortunately, Criterion has no plans for this. I could be wrong but I don't believe they have the video rights.

edit: damn, meritocracy.... beat me by a few seconds

I think there are three packagings of this. After Polygram went under, USA Pictures got the rights and packaged a version with their logo. Then, they went under, and Universal got the rights and packaged their own version.

I think the USA version would have a flag on the spine but I haven't seen it, so I can't be sure.

I sold my original copy in anticipation of an anamorphic release....guess I will need to get the old copy again until there is some solid information regarding a re-release. I would like to pop it into my player again.
