Blade Runner 3-disc frustration thread

Hated the movie myself, but I understand why fans would want a better one. When I saw the disc originally I was disappointed by the transfer and the lack of extra material.

I was going to make the same post a few days ago but never got around to it...
I remember all the hype starting up back in 2000 and thinking at the time that waiting a year would be unbearable...
Then the other day I was like... Damn, I wanna watch Blade Runner again. Where's my ****ING 3-Disc Set!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Supposedly it's been pulled back for some re-work. Look for the release to be Spring of 2006 and certainly no later than a Winter 2007 release.
So it's just around the corner kids.....
.....just kidding. I too am sick of waiting.

You know the last I've heard, it was in legal troubles. So I'm thinking we could start a paypal donation thing and use the money to either:
A. pay off whoever the hell is being a dick and holding this up, or
B. charter a bus and have an Otter road trip to kick said party in "A" squarely in the nuts until they allow the DVD to be released.
For what it's worth, I have both cuts on laserdisc, and I truly, honestly, wish I could share them with everyone. (without, of course, the RIAA gestapo busting down my door and telling me I'm lower than pond scum for sharing art with the world)

the MPAA isn't as fearful as the RIAA. RIAA is shooting blindly hoping to hit someone while MPAA is taking a better approach at this and trying not to alienate their audiance by sueing them.

I'd still say the MPAA is pretty damn stupid
But yeah, I really want to see the 3 disc set of this movie... I've only seen the director's cut... and it's hard to follow. I want to see the other cut, so I can understand it a bit more.

If anyone is interested, I was planning to put my OOP VHS copy of the 10th Anniversary Edition of Blade Runner on eBay soon. It is not the director's cut and does have the narration by Decker. If anyone is interested, let me know.

god another version!!!!
what does this make it like version 11, I remember my friend at laser movie here in edmonton, showing me like 5 versions of this movie on laserdisc alone.
crappy pan scan version
widescreen version
criterion version CAV
criterion version CLV
and the new directors cut.
these are the laser disc versions alone.
how many other versions are on dvd?
anyone ever find out why criterion never redid it's version for dvd?
